Vietnam Medipharm Expo 2025 to begin in Ho Chi Minh City on July 31

The home healthcare equipment zone will display a wide range of products, including steam inhalers, therapy machines, massage devices, electrotherapy equipment, respiratory support devices, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, wearable smart devices, and digital health management applications.
Meanwhile, the advanced medical equipment section will feature cutting-edge technologies such as devices powered by the Internet of Things, AI-driven solutions, diagnostic imaging systems, surgical robots, shockwave therapy equipment, laboratory analysers, laparoscopic surgical instruments, ophthalmology and dental devices, as well as personal protective medical gear.
The pharmaceutical zone is expected to be more vibrant than ever, with both domestic and international enterprises investing heavily in booth design and product presentation. Companies will display their newest offerings with attractive packaging to meet the evolving demands of consumers.
The event will welcome leading corporations and companies from Austria, the EU, the US, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Turkey, and more, promising a truly global platform for innovation and business development.
The India Pavilion will feature the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment sectors; the South Korea Pavilion showcases medical tourism services, medical software, and healthcare equipment; and the Malaysia Pavilion highlights strengths in medical gloves and single-use medical instruments.
Additionally, the Medipharm Expo will include side events such as industry seminars updating current regulations and policies on the production and business of pharmaceuticals and medical devices; product and service presentations by participating companies; and field surveys at hospitals and medical facilities, providing business representatives with opportunities to meet and discuss long-term cooperation directions.
The pharmaceutical sector in Vietnam, which is among the fastest-growing in the world, presents a promising market for international investors from countries such as the US, Japan, and South Korea thanks to its growth potential, opening up opportunities for cooperation, investment, and technology transfer. Also, domestic medical equipment manufacturers are channelling resources for both the domestic market and exports to other ASEAN countries.
According to IQVIA, the compound annual growth rate is expected to reach 6-8 per cent during the 2023 – 2028 period, with per person healthcare spending forecast to rise from $237 to $328. The market is projected to reach a value of $10 billion by 2026, making Vietnam the second-largest pharmaceutical market in Southeast Asia, behind only Indonesia.
Furthermore, according to Statista’s projections, Vietnam’s medical equipment market has shown steady growth over the years, from $922 million in 2016 to $1.6 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach $2.5 billion by 2029.
